Messy Painting with Kids
Messy painting with kids day:
It was a gorgeous day outside, so I grabbed a wooden board, some art supplies and we headed to the backyard for a paint extravaganza! It was some kind of messy fun, but sometimes messy is what the soul needs.
It got messy fast! Paint was all over their clothes and in their hair. Nothing a bath wouldn’t fix later on.
They all got into it! Savannah was thrilled to have carte blanche with my paint stash. She pulled out every color imaginable. Annie loved squeezing the paint. I think she emptied half of my bottles dry.
Jacks loved the splatter paint technique. Even with a broken elbow, he found his painting groove.
I’ve got plans for this masterpiece, but I’m saving that for another post.

February 27, 2014 at 2:21 pmI LOVE this idea! What type of wood did you use, and are those just standard acrylic paints? Also, I’d love to see what you ended up doing with their artwork, but I couldn’t find a post about it?
Thank you!
