Jackson’s future room is coming along quite nicely. The wood planked wall is up and is in the process of getting painted. I still need to decide what I’m going to do with the remaining three walls. Do I paint it white like the wood wall? I’m trying to avoid anything too juvenile or too themed. I really like white as a backdrop to big pops of color with accessories and bedding. I don’t know. This may take a while, because it’s all locked in my head.
I came across this ceramic bull a few months ago at Goodwill. I’m not sure why, but I was immediately drawn to it. I knew it was destined for something greater. So, I picked it up for $1.50, brought it home and put it away. Until the other day, when I came across a fabulous new spray paint color at The Home Depot.
And so, I painted the bull. Now, I’m the proud owner of a Tiffany Blue bull. I think this suits it much better.
Another cool, recent find were these ring popsicles at Home Goods. Growing up, I remember eating orange juice popsicles all the time. There wasn’t really a recipe. My mom would just pour orange juice into her Tupperware popsicle mold. Hours later, we had frozen orange juice on a stick. I’ve been experimenting with making different flavors and so far, they really like them. I’ll do a full post with recipes soon.
Lately, my husband has developed this annoying habit. I know right? Just add it to the pile with the others. Anyway, he’s started eating ice cream in bed….with the light on. It drives me mad!! Usually, I’m already in bed watching TV when he strolls in with his bowl of ice cream. My eyes have already adjusted to just the light of just the TV and then, BAM! He flips on his bedside lamp.
Me: For real?
Chris: What?
Me: Do you really need a search light on to eat ice cream?
Chris: Yes. I need to make sure it gets to my mouth.
Me: So, now you don’t know where your mouth is?
Chris: {Laughs and laughs. Annoyingly laughs some more.}
Me: Please turn it off.
Chris: No…I need to see the ice cream.
So, I did the only adult thing left to do, I stole his light bulb the next day.
