I didn’t mean to take this long of a break. It’s been almost two weeks since I last posted here. This little blog of mine has become an outlet for me…when I’m away for so long, I feel kind of bad. I’ve had lots going on around here. Let’s see…
I guest posted on the Tiny Prints blog…so exciting!! You know Tiny Prints..right? They have the most adorable invitations and more! I was beyond thrilled, to do a guest post on their site. Who? Me??? I came up with these cute feather crown party hats. You can check out the full details, right here on the Tiny Prints Blog.
I haven’t made any official announcements, but I am now a regular contributor over at SNAP! This means, you’ll be seeing a guest post from Jacks & Kate…over at the SNAP! blog…once a month! I’m ALL kinds of excited! You can check out my first tutorial for last minute Christmas decor right here.
Then, my baby girl, Savannah turned 5 last week. I promised myself when she was born on 12/12, that I would make sure she didn’t get the…”Christmas is just around the corner” birthday shaft. The first 3 years…no problem. These last two birthdays. Uh. Well…last year, she didn’t even have a party until mid January. After sending out the invitations, I rescheduled. I know right! As if that wasn’t bad enough, when the date of party finally rolled around, I rescheduled AGAIN for the following day! Are you kidding me with this? Sadly, I am not. This year, my husband was out of town on her birthday. So, I just had a little family party for her…minus daddy. I made her favorite dinner, had cupcakes, and presents. But, she keeps asking when her friends are going to come over for her party. I’m going to attempt the impossible and pull together a little party for her next week. Stay tuned. My husband is probably reading this right now and wishing he was still out of town. Maybe I get a bit bossy when I’m party planning?
Then, there’s been the Christmas shopping. I do 99% of my Christmas shopping online….and 98% of that is through Amazon Prime. If you are looking for any last minute gifts, I highly recommend giving the gift of Prime. Seriously, how did I ever live without it??? Anyway, I have really tried to be purposeful in gift buying for the kids this year. I am notorious for buying toys, only to purge them months later. This year, I really sought out some cool toys. I found this awesome little online shop, Smitten for the wee generation. Im so in love with their stock…a lot of European toys…which are extremely well crafted. One of my favorite purchases is this pirate ship.
I hope to get on here a few more times before Christmas. I have a few ideas I want to share with y’all!
